getting into a sorority

I really like the sorority D Phi E because I think the girls are awesome and they are just so close! Also their philanthropy with ANAD hits really close to home. But I am trying to keep an open mind! Any tips for first-time rushers about how to get into your top sorority without looking pathetic??

go in with an open mind. You may find that the sororities that you thought were perfect for you may not be so. Everyone ends up where they truly belong so don't get your heart set on a particular one, you might find you like a different one that is a better fit for you!

I don't understand why they get such a bad rep with hazing and stuff because obviously they get enough pledges each year and have enough girls in the sorority that it couldnt be that bad???? And I know i should keep an open mind but it is so hard when you feel like one is perfect for you!!

each year dphie gives about twice as many bids as the size their actual class will be. after bid day they are unwelcoming, causing drops from the start. last year had more drops than sisters. they get enough pledges to get by, they never get the amount they want.
