new sorority?

Never understood why we have the sororities we do like how do we have an AXiD but no pi phi (no offense AXiD) We have rare nationals that are good here like adpi but then no basic sororities like Theta or Sig Ep for frats

because y'all are a directional school and some sororities don't want to bother with you

Phi Mu? Are they in Texas? SK recently went on at UH. How are they doing there?. Tri-Delt well known in Texas.

Give Gamma Phi at least two or three more years to grow their chapter. They seem to be getting better but it takes time.

Phi Mu is currently doing really well at UTSA, they're also at UofH and Tarleton State. I think that they're well heard of in the South but I have yet to see them as a big sorority in Texas. SK is more popular towards the north, and have some good chapters in California.
While I would love to have tridelt here, I feel like it would only increase competition between ZTA, ADPi, and DZ, so I have no idea what would eventually happen there. I personally would like to see AXO or KAT to come to campus, or maybe even AOII. I kind of just want an even better sorority row at TXST

Tri Delt isn't interested in Texas State. They didn't even submit the last time y'all were open. The other finalists last time were Tri Sigma and Phi Mu when Gamma Phi Beta was chosen. I would guess Phi Mu and Tri Sigma would try again and AOPi will too unless they will be too stretched with them going in at A&M. Whatever sorority it is, they have to be able to afford a nice house and not all sororities are in a position to do that. Sororities like Pi Phi, Kappa and Theta aren't interested in Texas State because it's considered a directional school and your Greek life isn't that strong.

phi mu has 6 chapters they are either colonizing or re-establishing this Fall, they may not have room for another new chapter this year. having a big TX sorority will not hurt the chapters here, it will strengthen our panhellenic community. i really hope tri-delt considers txst!

That'd be great with the money and those UT chapters have as well as the many close alumni. But knowing PKT sorority girls at Texas I bet they run up their noses at Texas State greek life

Those three are not interested in schools at the prestige level of Texas State. That's the way they are. I'm not saying I think that way though ok?

Sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about, PKT each have chapters at not so prestigious universities (okstate, SEC schools, etc)

You people realize your school is considered and joke and the Greek life there is even a bigger joke. That's why PKT don't want to be there. OSU is much more prestigious and the SEC schools, while all they may not have the prestige of others, their Greek life is unsurpassed and every sorority would love to be there.

You're probably a UT student. I'm sure Harvard looks at your school and thinks the same so you should just get over yourselves because no one cares about your opinion here (and upvoting yourself a billion times doesn't make it true either)
Oh and pretty much everyone here could get into at least half of the SEC. Ole Miss accepts people who have pulses. Heck, they'll probably work something out with you even if you didn't. Now go cry about it somewhere else hahahahaha

While UT may not be as academically prestigious as Harvard, the wealth, sports, academics, connections, and social life literally cannot be found at another college, except for maybe USC. And this is coming from someone eho doesn't go to UT or T-State.

Alpha phi was at TXST in the 80s. Chapter fell apart. Who knows if they will want to come back.

You may not be called a directional school anymore but that doesn't change your school's reputation as one. You're the school of last resort for people who can't get into any others. Like a community college but with dorms.

Pi Phi and Kappa are both at UNT, not exactly a strong Greek life school, very comparable to Texas State.
