its not that big of a deal if you have friends who go to UT and even if you don't there will be plenty of other people there from other schools. TX kids can be pretentious and definitely look down on txst but as long as you don't stand out/act like a fool, you will be completely fine. it isn't supposed to be taken THIS seriously ^^^^

Very true in my experience, emphasis on the pretentious/looking down at T state part tho

Unfortunately this is true. Do not go unless you have a VERY close friend in a fraternity. Otherwise, they will treat you badly and be condescending to you. Honestly it's a lot of fun but not worth it if you don't know anyone
