want to rush but have to any questions..
by: -KI'm really excited to rush this coming fall for a sorority, yet I just don't know what to expect. I've been getting more and more nervous about the whole thing. As my mom was in one and is dying for me to be apart of it. What are the few things I should know before rush week starts? How should I try to be for each sorority to find interest of me?

Google if there is a local panhellenic conference near you. My area has one and by registering last year in the spring, I was able to attend a function they were holding and gathered a lot of information.
Register for rush with TX State. Fall recruitment registration opens April 1. Google Panhellenic Council : Texas State University. The link to register should pop up. You cannot rush without registering.
Recs are recommendation letters from sorority alumni. The alumni do not have to have gone to Tx State, but just have been a member of that sorority at any college. If your mom has friends that were in sororities, they can write the recommendation for you.
You should get the info from TX State with what you need to supply. You will need a copy of your final transcript to make copies of, a resume listing all of your high school achievements and awards, and extra curricular. You will need two recent photos so send to each rec writer. One full body, one head shot. You don't have to have professional pics but don't send too casual of ones. First impressions, you know.
