Traditionally, one vote against you would not kill your chances. If it is a member everyone hates, could help. Odds are long on that -- so don't count on that. The person you had a "beef" with can always count on his friends to sink your chances to vote against you. Life lesson here - pick you battles and your enemies carefully. Best advice is to talk with someone else you know in the fraternity - they will tell you your chances. If you don't know anyone else. Then you likely have no chance. I'd suggest, don't bother with them. Plenty of other good fraternities around to chose from.
