rush

I am unable to go through formal sorority recruitment this year because of prior commitments that have been made but I'm curious if any of the sororities are likely to do continuous open bidding after recruitment if their numbers aren't high enough? (I have a bunch of greek friends from the school I'm transferring from lol. I know greek lingo XD) so does anybody know? I would like some answers so I can plan for this year :) thanks yall!

The thing is though that I went through formal rush at my past university and it was hell. Regardless that I didn't like the school in the first place rush wasn't fun ano I kinda want to avoid doing that again. Also I'm 21 and a junior and I'll feel out of place rushing with a bunch of freshman 😑 I appreciate your advice but if that is the case I think I'll just wait for the spring to try joining a sorority again. I'll still have a good 3 semesters in whatever sorority I'll join and that's good enough for me :) thanks for your response!

Just go through it in the fall. Don't wait. 4 semesters is better than 3. Spring is going to be the same...just with fewer pledge sisters. Don't wait until the spring. The fall is WAYYYY better social scene anyways and you'll want to be apart of that. Do yourself a favor and give yourself 2 falls instead of one. Trust me. This is coming from someone who waited for the spring as well to rush. And I wish I had gone through in the fall. Waiting is a big misake. The fall is so much fun. There is way more parties as well as Football tailgates. Plus since its your first semester, youre going to meet way more people and it will be easier to get adjusted because youll know a lot more people. Waiting is a huge mistake. Trust me. Rush in the fall.

I also rushed in the spring and I'm 21. Although it was great the chaptersame events are so spread out. That you really don't get the option to feel out all the houses and pick the one you want. I would highly recommended fall just more options.

Go through formal recruitment. The top chapters will fill their chapter's quota. And when they have COR in the spring there a very limited spots and it is much more difficult to get that time and it is less organized. A lot of people say formal recruitment is very stressful but it is your best option because not every chapter participates in spring recruitment and it is a lot more organized.

Go through in the fall! We do not hve as many spots in the spring. I would say go in the fall and if you don't get the one you want you could always do spring! And like someone already said, 4 semesters is better than 3!
