greek unity

The time is long over due in which the fraternities and sororities of Texas State congregate and begin working together as a Greek COMMUNITY rather than bashing on one another. We have the Culture, numbers and resources available to us necessary for successful relationships. I think every fraternity is sick and tired of pointless negative opinions regarding one another. If the older guys won't do anything about this problem, then leave it to us younger guys to patch up what you guys deteriorated in the past. Less than 8% of TXST is Greek now which means WE ARE FALLING. Quit giving the school reason to believe we don't desire to be here! You and I both know the amount of time and commitment we go through (Philanthropy and grades alone!). The school raised the minimum GPA to 2.7 so lets raise ours even higher! After all that is what Greek Life is supposed to do; bring out the best of us, so if you aren't helping to benefit the image, you are merely harming it. There have been NO recent incidents that hold any reasonable amount of significance that would prevent relations between ANY two fraternities here. In retrospect, we are looked at as a WHOLE, every single fraternity and sorority is included in that image. We are Texas State Greek Life so lets work together to get ourselves back to the top tier party school this school was some 20+ years ago!
