mildly confused

So I definitely know I want to rush here, but I've heard that most sororities only take white girls or prefer them to others. Now I know that most girls who rush tend to be white, but I'm indian and I was born and raised with parents who are really American so I guess I would be considered seriously white-washed. Do I have a chance or is it more of an aesthetic type of deal?

My sorority pledged an Indian girl several years ago. She transferred but she was very popular! We liked her allot!
