Definitely agree. I think any member of the panhellenic community would want more chapters to be added. At least they should. As a member of this greek community I want to see it grow as much as possible. I would like to see Kappa, Theta, Tri Delt, or AChiO.

But the process is so messy. Every sorority on campus has to vote to allow a new chapter to come on. It took like a whole year for them to all agree to let gamma phi on campus. They feel threatened by letting a new one on because it will decrease the size of their pledge classes

A new one isn't needed at this time. By the way, Kappa, Theta, Tri Delt, and AXO had no interest in coming here last time so keep dreaming.

No but I know who submitted packets last time and none of those did. No packet submitted when a school is open for expansion = no interest

The sororities who have previously been on campus have first choice at if they want to come back. Sooo those other sororities mentioned (kappa, tri delt, etc) were not even contacted. Next one coming back on campus will be AOPi because they have been here before.

Alpha Phi and Sigma Kappa have also been on this campus, too.

Both of them have poor track records in Texas

Alpha Phi has VERY strong chapters at UT, Tech, UNT, and other smaller schools around the state. They definitely do not have a "poor track record in Texas"...

Get real. Their UT, Tech and UNT chapters are lower middle at best. They've also closed their chapters at UH, A&M, TCU, UTA, Dallas Baptist and of course Texas State all for low numbers. Alpha Phi sux in Texas and all over the south

Gamma Phi needs two more years to stabilize. Housing or lack there of is another barrier to expansion!
