by: SjdncjMore frats should do what Kappa Sigma did. New rules are right now even if your chapter got a perfect 4.0 gpa you’d only get to throw 3 parties and one non alch social event? Plus a 4 week pledge ship. And it’s really just a matter of time before ifc kicks off your frat anyway. Get your nationals backing and then go for it and we can have a great Greek life again. If not Greek life here will die a slow death

So to give a rundown, Kappa Sig closed their doors on official sorority relations, sure they can rage and party! But most of the sororities on campus until otherwise posted have a standards hearing waiting for whoever shows up to their functions. Greek life here at txst is doomed but I applauded Ksig for not wanting to go gentle into that good night

Sad that we have now been given restrictions on who we can associate with and who we can't. I thought we were grown but I guess we depend on our chapter to tell us how to act and who we can be friends with and what parties we can attend. What's next a dress code. They better get ready for a lot of standards hearings and drops cause this is BS...RIP GREEK LIFE ..

It’s almost funny. Now that Kappa Sig left, literally all of the best fraternities are off campus or “not recognized” by the school. What I don’t understand is why we aren’t allowed to go to kappa sigs events if they still have their national charter, and they withdrew themselves? As far as my understanding goes, they were never kicked off or in trouble with the school, makes no sense to me

As someone’s who’s fraternity decided to stay IFC I can say with confidence good for anyone who didn’t sign the rules. RIP Greek Life
