The article written in the paper was written as an opinion column. This does not take away that it was extremely innapropriate, but it was not the University Stars writers who wrote the piece. The article has defintely been blown up by the media, and because kf this has done a really good job in dividing our campus. As you might know our campus Greek Life is already currently suspended and with the publication of this article attitudes towards Greek Life have also become very negative. I personally feel that Texas State is a bery diverse campus and although i cannot speak for everyone have never felt a serious problem of racism on campus. I also feel that the article should never had made it passed the editoral board, since any article with the title your DNA is an abomination written about any other race would have been red flagged instantly.
