top fraternities

So I plan on rushing in the fall, and I've been waiting for this moment my entire life. Both my parents were Greek, and my dad was even President of a top fraternity. I know I won't be getting the southern plantation style homes that I always dreamed about, but who has the best houses and parties?( I know its more about parties, but if they have great parties it means they are fun guys to hang around.) I plan to go where I fit in, but I want to get an idea of a couple I should zone in on and plan to go to summer rush events.

You should approach rush with a open mind and not completely on rankings but I feel like this is a pretty fair ranking. Sigma Chi is rising, but still wouldn't call them top yet.
-Rankings in no order in each tier
Top: KA, Delt, ATO, Kappa Sig
Middle: Sigma Chi, Pi Kapp, Sigma Nu, Pike
Bottom: Sig Tau, Phi Psi, SAE,Theta Chi, whoever else

Thanks a ton. I really like the idea of sigma chi because of their well connected and strong nationals. But glad to hear from an honest bobcat, haha. Are your ratings based on best fraternity or best house, or does having a house not really matter at Texas State?

Yeah KA, ATO and Delt are in their own tier. I'd restack the middle with Pi Kapp, Sig Chi then K Sig

I don't want to be a in a fraternity that doesn't care about tiers. 1, because they don't care about how they are respected. And 2, they are prolly low on the teir list so they tell themselves they don't care to make it seem like its ok. No offense to your fraternity, but that is just not the attitude I want to live my life by. I have a desire to win and be a rich and successful CEO or lawyer. If you don't start caring now when will you?

In general girls normally say Delt, KA, and ATO are the best.
-I hardly ever go to Delt parties so I dont have much to say about them.
-Can not stand KA parties, I'm sure they would be much better if their house wasn't right in the middle of campus.
-ATO- Love these guys, throw great parties and always have buses going to sixth street on thursdays.
-I've had the chance to meet a lot of the Pikes and Pi kapps this semester, really sweet attractive guys and throw good parties when they do.
- Sigma chi- Throw derby days (which was a lot of fun), have been to their house once and their back yard smelt awful where the party was, attractice guys, really small house.
- Kappa sig, don't throw parties, barely involved, some attractive guys
- sig nu- went to their halloween party, AWFUL.
Sig tau, Phi Tau, Theta Chi- This post is pretty much opinions from strictly a partying aspect. Ive never heard of these throwing parties except sig tau threw a halloween one.

Sigma chi has a small 2 story house but its on acreage and definitely not in San Marcos. Most houses aren't huge here because Greek life at Texas state just isn't there yet and it's a result
of the administration. Definitely check out each chapter worth looking at yourself rather than going on some website.

I'd put Pi Kapp in top before Kappa Sig.
