texas state breaking 1st amendment

by: Bob

Texas State has broken the 1st amendment saying that all of Greek life must sieze their operations, including holding chapter meetings. It’s a violation saying members of these multiple organizations are not allowed to assemble. We should stand together and fight this encroachment on our freedom as citizens of the United States. Greek life is under attack nation wide there is not doubt about that. It’s an epidemic. Their is no doubt in my mind over the past few years TXST has done everything in their power to regulate it for the worse, and bring it to it’s knees finally. This was just the hammer on the nail. This will cause a big stir nation wide like pen state or Florida State. We as a school, Greek members, and our nations should fight back to regain our freedom or go rouge.

If you have a leadership position you should request a room at LBJ to hold a chapter meeting and make it public to the university, and see what happens. If they force you to cancel the meeting they are only making the problem worse for themselves. ✊🏿

Yes, please go "rouge." Everybody needs more color in their cheeks.

Here's an idea. Instead of focusing your energy on a misinterpretation of the Constitution, how about you work together with the university to develop a plan to make Greek life a positive partner that holds each other to the higher standards that your organizations claim to espouse? In other words, take care of each other and hold each other accountable. And grow the hell up.

The national organizations of NIC, NPC, NPHC, UGC, etc., need to start working with the individual councils on every college campuses they represent to make come up with postitve solutions to make Greek lIfe a safe haven. Up to thiis point, NONE of these organizations had been CRAP to help. ALl they do is sit in their Ivy towers and preach leadership, diversity, community service and recruit lots of students. While that to them seem to be important, so is making Greek life safer. They failed on this part.
