This is so sad and senseless. Screw Phi Psi, they were already in trouble for hazing and still disregarded every rule. Instead of making any type of statements or expressing sorrow they are too busy covering their own butt. They deserve to be kicked off campus, and they deserve what is coming to them. Do not drag all of Greek life into their lack of respect for any rules.
This was one of their own, this was one of our own. It is time we all start stepping up and facing responsibility for our brothers. It is time for some change. It is a sad day at Texas State, Phi Psi in no way represents the rest of Greek Life. We have all been making changes. Phi Psi needs to go. From their mockery of a rush, and so forth they are the very model of the only thing that is wrong with our Greek Life at Texas State. The blame for this death is on their shoulders. I am so angry with this irresponsible fraternity. The other fraternities on campus have been making the changes that the times have dictated that needs to be made, Phi Psi refused and blatantly disregarded the orders to make the change. I pray that God is with the family in these hard times, my heart is sickened by this tragedy.

Meanwhile our sororities are growing. We’re stronger than ever.

Greek Life is not gone, just suspended.

Very happy to see Phi Psi go but devastated it took hazing, disregard for rules and the death of a young man to make it happen. Phi Psi you are pathetic. You have undermined all of the hard work we put forth to keep Greek life prosperous and safe here at TXST. You laughed at us for following rules and not being “cool” yet here you are with blood on your hands and your fraternity gone. Sadly I know you won’t see this or probably take any responsibility because you’re too busy trying to save yourselves and drain bottles of liquor while hazing pledges. Your fraternity does not represent what the rest of us stand for and you are NOT nor will you EVER be my Greek family.

I can only hope for strength for his family. I hope given the appropriate amount of time they come down on you with the strength of God behind them. Good riddance Phi Psi.

Why are we all just blaming Phi psi? We all know that the only fraternities that don’t haze are delta sig and maybe theta chi... literally EVERY SINGLE OTHER frat hazes. Does bleach & Fiji ring a bell??

Y’all stop using my name. Whoever this is is not “insider”. I would have been smart enough to say Greek Life was suspended, not “gone”.

TEXAS STATE, KICK PHI PSI THE HELL OFF CAMPUS FOR GOOD. DO WHAT PENN STATE, LSU and FSU DID TO THOSE FRATERNITIES. HOPEFULLY GREEK LIFE WILL BE A LOT BETTER ONCE IT'S DONE.
