It has nothing to do with being "cool" or not, if you like the brotherhood then you should consider joining if you don't then look else where. Your fraternity brothers should become your best friends and everything else about a fraternity should just be icing on the cake.

Go with where you feel most comfortable and where you can see yourself being 100% genuine and not looking/acting a certain way just because the other guys are doing it. If you do then you’ll be making friendships that are fake and that’s not fun.
