Kappa Sig will probably ask zeta, if not zeta then adpi.
Phi psi will probably ask either dz or adpi. But most likely they will ask dz.
All the other frats are going to ask one of the top sosoritities and as soon as the top sorority says no then they will move on to a middle sorority, and if the middle sorority says no then they'll move on from them. That's usually how it works. Most of the main frats will probably end up with a date this year though, since there aren't too many active fraternities left ......
Even one of the top sororities is going to be forced to go with a middle tier frat this year. Haha. It should be interesting to see what happens.

Since phi psi went with dz last year and kapp Sig has gone with adpi pretty much every single year, i bet that this year kappa Sig will ask dz, phi psi will ask zeta, and adpi will be the one stuck with a middle frat. I'm calling it right now.

No I'm actually not in any of those sororities lol. I'm just guessing that is what is going to end up happeneing.
P.s phi psi is probably LOVING this. Just two years ago they were struggling to get middle sororitys to say yes to them, and now look at em!

My guess:

Machi and adpi

OR:

Kappa Sig and zeta
Phi Psi and dz
SAE and adpi

Phi psi will for sure ask zeta or dz.
Kappa Sig is up in the air. They will probably ask either adpi or zeta tho.
And the rest of the pairings will be completely random. We have a ton of new fraternities on campus so who knows what will happen.

Texas state's greek life is slowly turning into Sam houston's/SFA/UofH greeklife. It's sad.

There isn't enough variety, and there aren't enough sororities or fraternities. All of those schools I mentioned are the same way, they have only two or three good frats and two or three good sororitys, and these two or three good frats partner with the same exact two or three good sororitys for the same stuff every single year and there's never any change. And the same goes for the middle frats/sororitys and so on. I know it won't always be this way, I know our newer fraternities will continue to improve, and I know our Greek life will continue to grow, but for right now our greek life is no different than Sam Houston if you really look at it. Texas state greeklife was at one point getting close to being comparable to tech greeklife. Which is huge, and what we should aim for. We had enough fraternities to be compared to tech, the only thing we didn't have was enough sororities. Which is why everyone complained that we needed more sororities. I realize we are finally getting more sororities, which is exactly what we need, but adding two sororities in the last six years and kicking off about 7 or 8 fraternities in last six years is like taking one step forward and three steps backwards. Basically my point from this long ass post is that Texas state is moving backwards in greek progress. Just two years ago we were almost comparable to tech, maybe even Baylor, and now we're more on SFA level and it sucks.

Yes yes yes a thousand times yes. Couldn't have been said more perfectly especially the "1 step forward 3 steps backwards". So freaking true.

You do know that those 4 frats are LITERALLY not the only fraternities that have been kicked off in the last couple of years at this school, right? You do know that phi delt and lamda chi (and a handful of others) got kicked off as well, right? Or is your freshmen self too young to even know what those are? You clearly didn't get the message I was trying to get across and I'm not going to sit here and try to dumb it down for you. But clearly other people agree with me. If you think Texas state seriously has a strong greek life then bless your heart.

Idk why a few of you always insist on bringing that awful night up on this site. It's extremely tasteless, inapporproriate and unnecessary.

All he said is that it sucks right now? He even acknowledged the fact that it's not always going to suck. It's really not that deep, I think you people need to relax. You people are also clearly very young because those 4 frats are not the only good frats that have been kicked off in the last couple of years.

@no are you serious? Yeah Greek life is changing but overwhelmingly for the worse. We were starting to compete with other schools in our Greek life but now that's all changed. These new fraternities don't have quality members that would be good recruits at any other school. They're rule following dorks who don't throw parties. I doubt they'll ever get better members because what cool rushee is going to want to take orders from those guys. And if they did get good the school will just kick them off. Not to mention they don't have any alumni base. The "new" version of Greek life you and the school are pushing is basically a social club with awkward guys with maybe 2 parties a year and strict school control. Meanwhile tech, UT, A&M (schools we should be competing with instead of UTSA) give a lot of backing to their Greek life. But that's typical of Txst just thinking small and pc and not worrying about ever trying to compete with the big dogs. Sad because this school has to much potential to take over from Tech and be a solid choice behind A&M and UT but they're killing Greek life here which is how you get rich kids that go on to be successful alumni. That and our football team really hold us back from getting better applicants

The fact that someone died is a tragedy that cannot be overlooked. HOWEVER, let's be real for a second. It is horrific, but do I blame the fraternities that sponsored the party that night, the answer is no, and neither should her parents, or the school. Yes, I agree that there should have been discipline handed down, but the fact we are a university that was just beginning to finally be considered on the rise, we have to have a strong greek life here to even begin to compete with the other larger schools to draw more people in. Like it or not Greek life is a strong consideration for people choosing a college experience, and if the school continues to try to change the entire scope of greek life, which is a long time tradition, then not only greek life will suffer for it, but Texas State as a whole will. There were so many people to blame that night, yes it should have been watched closer, but I seriously doubt she showed up to that party by herself. What happened to the people she was with that night, that absolutely did not watch out for her. Parties get big, parties get out of control, Most fraternities do their best to keep it as safe as possible but accidents do happen. She got ran over, and that is horrific, but the truth is she could have been ran over even if she was sober. Quit using it as an example of what is wrong with our greek life system here, It could have happened on any campus across America. I am sorry if it sound callous or cold but it is the truth. The president of TXST is just using it as an excuse because the faculty here wants to get rid of Greek life.
