whats the most important aspect in a pnm?

Being completely honest with you, recruitment is extremely superficial. I love my sorority but rush week itself (in my opinion) is very materialistic. What people consider "top" houses are looking for girls who will solely bring publicity and popularity to their house, especially in the social media aspect (ex. facey girls who get lots of likes on their instagram pictures). Girls who are recruiting are looking at you and judging you based on how well they think you will fit in and "enhance" their sorority. The first two rounds especially are solely based on the girls' first impression of you; while yes, your personality can definitely help how well you connect, looks are really the determining factor. Go into recruitment with ABSOLUTELY no expectations and an open mind. If you go in set on a particular house, as I did, when or if you get dropped, you will be devestated and asking yourself where you went wrong, why am I not pretty enough, etc. Be yourself and work hard to hold a meaningful conversation, but keep in mind, looks really are everything during rush week.

Okay don't listen to all these comments saying looks is all we care about. I'm in one of the sororities that's considered a "pretty" sorority and I can tell you right now that we will cut a girl so fast if she's awkward or shy, no matter how pretty she is. Personality is just as important as looks when it comes to recruitment, don't listen to any girl that tells you differently

Oh and grades!! Put grades right after connections. No sorority wants a girls that's going to bring down their overall GPA
