honesty for fraternity rush

Went after a "top tier" fraternity because they were top tier. Didn't feel any sense of brotherhood but the parties and girls were fun, and ended up kicked off campus

Back when I rushed, I only checked out the top tiers. I didn't really like what I found at least not at this school. I did like some of the "lower tier" options, but ended up opting out of Greek life in the end. The tier system is one sided. If you care about parties and how cool you look, tiers matter. If you genuinely care about Brotherhood, advancement in your professional life and being apart of something bigger than yourself then the tier system is entirely irrelevant. Find what suits you best and makes you HAPPY. If that's top tier or the "nobody" fraternity it won't matter as long as you're getting from it what you want.

Joined a sinking ship, pledgeship was brutal, parties were legendary, house was good, brotherhood and chapter culture were whatever, girls loved us. First two years were great, last 3 were garbage. The only other fraternity i got a bid from was doing better then my fraternity but a were apart of the 4 sooo. Bottom line, every fraternity has its ups and downs. Just go where you feel the most comfortable and enjoying get laid and blacking out twice a week. The real world sucks.
