top tier
by: JWWith the removal of the 4 other Fraternities, 2 of them being top houses. Phi Psi obviously slid in to the top, but what other fraternity made the leap to top ? SAE, Sigma Chi, Alpha Sig, or Sigma Nu? Curious on your thoughts of who, and why ?

SAE throws mediocre parties nothing special, but does party often. They aren't very involved otherwise though. Their guys are ok. A few solid and a few douches and a few weirdos.
Sigma Chi, throws the occasional big party. They are decently fun, especially their ones last fall. Could use more parties. They are also pretty involved on campus with philanthropy and actually helped us so much with the crawfish boil. Guys also solid, douches, and a few weird ones.
Sigma Nu hardly parties, and is not involved with anything outside their fraternity. I do not see them anywhere. Their guys all 90% douches.
Alpha Sig...still brand new not sure why they are in the conversation. All their guys are weird.

No one. Just because some fraternities are no longer here doesn't mean the guys in Sigma Chi or Sae are any less weird. You have to give it time for the older guys to trickle out of those fraternities and replaced by guys that would've gone like pike or KA or something another yr and then they will be better and can move up. Rn it's just kappa sig and phi psi and even they arnt any Delt and ato

The ONLY top Frat left is kappa Sig
Phi psi somewhere not too below them and then the rest stays the same. Just because the top 4 frats got dropped does not make your mediocre houses any better. Pretty sad y'all have that mind set. Said it before but dz/zeta/ADPi girls would still rather party with the top 4 "non recognized frats" then settle on SAE or sigma chi

Lets not get confused now...only ATO and Delt were top. Pike was right around SAE and Sigma Chi, and KA was in a free fall as it was hovering at bottom middle below Pike SAE and Sigma Chi the past few years...

Speak for yourself. I'm in one of those top sororities and I'm looking forward to meeting new guys in other fraternities.

Partying has nothing to do with it... DZ/ Zeta/ ADPi can party with those 4 frats as much as they want. As far as "Greek" events goes those 4 are irrelevant. They cant go to homecoming with them, do mixers with them, play intermurals with them, even Panhellenic is coming down on girls attending their underground rush parties/ parties that are clearly theirs.

The point is that they have the quality guys. Yes that could change but as of now the new "top houses" consists of guys that were cut from the the 4 houses kicked off. So if you consider that top tier by all means go ahead, but just remember it took a major blow in txst Greek life in order to solidify that so congrats lol

you must be new to texas state if you think that pike or ka were top. like a comment above said, pike was somewhere between KA and sigma chi. and KA had been deteriorating for years. Only top fraternities that got kicked off were delt and ato. pike and ka were middle tier. and like another comment said, just because fraternities got kicked off doesn't automatically mean others got better. there are maybe two top tier fraternities currently but that is it.

Even so Pike and especially KA has 10x cooler guys than any SAE, Sigma Chi, and phi psi.

"New to txst" lol I'm a junior, soooooo....... Regardless of involvement- KA and Pike both have had very respected houses over the pasty many years. (Definitely over phi psi or Sig chi) Times have changed but I Guarantee any TOP sorority girl would chose ATO/DELT/pike//KA (officially recognized or not) over SAE any day. Maybe sorority relationships don't make up for everything but it definitely says a lot about yalls chapter and guys accepted as a whole. You are who you associate with. Good luck in the future though! Sigma chi and SAE r the newest top houses FOR SURE bro

You just contradicted yourself....you just said Phi Psi moved up when they weren't top? They didn't change their members either. Also your statement still doesn't make sense....so if kappa sig had also been kicked off, would there just have been no top houses ? Everyone would've been middle and bottom? As the 4 that were kicked off leave, the 3 new ones filled their place. Which moves the new to bottom, bottom to mid, mid to top.
