Good for you and your 3.4 GPA, unfortunately you will soon realize your good GPA won't get you anywhere in life. An employer would choose a girl with a 2.7 GPA and better connections within the company and awesome people skills over a girl with a 3.0 GPA and no connections within the company and mediocre communication skills. Hate to break it to you. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. The Real world is tough.

You sound like one of those girls that posts Facebook statuses at the end of the semester with a screen shot of all the grades you made. Literally no one cares, your own mom probably doesn't even care. In 10 years from now the girl with the 2.7 GPA will probably be making just as much money as you so you really need to get over yourself. There's nothing wrong with making good grades, but making good grades doesn't indicate you intelligence what so ever. All it says it that you put it more effort.

That 2.7 undergrad GPA will completely eliminate graduate programs. That's how you land most big money jobs. So your little 2.7 undergrad degree from a notoriously easy school like Texas State won't do anything for you in the real world. FFS, if you can't even get a 2.7 in any major here, you've already failed at life.

Except if you want to go to grad school..... But yeah I agree. GPA doesn't really do you a whole lot. I was told not even to put my GPA on my resume unless if it was 3.5 or higher. So there really isn't a difference between a 3.4 or 3.0 or lower lol

A 2.7 is an okay GPA for any degree if you have awesome communication skills. My sister was a finance major from here, applied to 7 different companies (none of them even asked what her GPA was) and now she makes 75k second year out of college, and she had below a 3.0. Her two friends who had 3.5 GPAs aren't even making 50k. This isn't the case in every sitatuatuon, but you'll hear stories like this more than you would expect. GPA only matters if you plan on going to grad school, or if you're in a really really competitive field.

When I went thru recruitment I never for one second thought "oh she's a cool girl, I wonder what her how her gpa is"
It's one of those things girls can tell their parents when they're going thru rush & want to convince them how great sororitys are I guess.
But, I never heard anyone going thru rush talk about sorority houses gpa's.
We cared if you were nice etc

Is this girl seriously so concerned with the comments on this post that she refreshed the page 20+ times to dislike every comment she disagreed with that many times? All those dislikes weren't there a couple of hours ago, Hun. Hahah if you are so certain your good GPA will get you where you need to be in life then why are you wasting so much of your time trying to convince us it does?

It's usually the people who make good grades who are the dumb one anyways. That's why they have standardized testing, to separate the actual smart people from the people who make straight A's just because they have personal tutors and kiss the professors ass.......

A 2.7 is a terrible GPA for any major lol...I'm an engineering major with a 3.4....school isn't difficult if you try.
