I'm nervous about only getting bottom tier sororities, it's not so much I care about what people will think of me but will my Greek experience be less? Do bottom tier sororities still have the same functions etc?

I transferred from a school where I was bottom tier to texas state where I'm top tier. Honestly there are times when being top tier is significantly better than being bottom tier, you get to go to better parties, your social media looks better, you win more competitions because you likely have better partners for things like homecoming and greek week. But those are all external things. Your sisterhood will be just as strong and you'll honestly have just as much fun regardless of the tier of your chapter. In the end it won't really matter, but your social experience may be slightly better if you're top tier.

Are bottom tier sororities all the same? Just like how everyone says all top are the same?

Look Greek rank is lit going to tear down your sorority experience if you allow it to. Remember some girls don't get bids at all. People seem to forget that. Also, ALL sororities have formals, Halloween parties, semiformals, and other events like homecoming and tailgate. All sororities cost money which is what they use to pay for those events. Usually the sororities that cost more have the better events, or better homes (ZTA, AXID and GPHI are good examples of this).

If you're looking to be in a sorority just for the parties then you'll be really disappointed. There's more to a sorority than bragging rights.
