apple watch & texting
by: It's 2016 not 2005I know they have us hand them our cell phones during recruitment but if I wear my Apple Watch do you think they will know that I'm using it to text? What happens if I get caught? It's seems pretty stupid that we have to give them our phones. Can't I just keep my watch in my bag and secretly text? Giving them our cell phones seems so 2005.

Yeah it sucks that you can't have your phone but at the same time the fact that you are complaining this much over your damn phone is pretty sad. The whole point of not having your phone is so you don't have people influencing your decisions, especially if someone is dirty rushing you. You'll be fine without your phone I promise

It's not stupid that you can't have your phone, and honestly it's kind of sad that you can't be without your phone until the end of the day. You aren't allowed to have your phone because this is a very private thing. You really shouldn't let anyone else influence your decision which is why we make it so that you can't contact people between parties and before you make your decision at the end of the night. It's four days, and they're not even whole days. Please don't bring your apple watch just to maintain the sanctity of the process.

agreed, OP, please don't rush. just follow the rules, it isn't that hard. your RC WILL see you texting because everyone sits very close to each other and she WILL take it away. If you put up a big fuss, the sororities WILL find out about it and you WILL have a bad recruitment. get over yourself.

You do realize there's lots of times in the sorority that you're not allowed to have your phone right? If you're going to join a sorority you'll be partaking in ritual, where phones are a big no no. Wanna try sneaking your phone into meeting? Good luck. You're the kind of girl I can already tell would be a serious standards concern. None of us want you or anyone like you. Sororities have a ton of rules and you won't make it through your freshman year without being kicked out if you can't follow even the most basic ones.
