money
by: Help
SMU is on my list but I've yet to visit. I know I want to go Greek so I've been looking at the chapters. Kappa has an insta pic of a group shopping trip to Chanel.
I'm not poor but I'm also not shop at Chanel regularly rich.
Will this be a problem if I go Greek?
#1 by: Check it out
Kappa is known for caring a lot about money, and one or two other organizations place a lot of value on money, and who you're related to as well. However, most organizations value other things besides your parents money, and pretty much everyone at Smu has enough. So it all depends on what you yourself value in a friend and organization.
#2 by: Other choices
There are lots of other Greek choices besides kappa and plenty of people in other sororities who like to do other things besides shop at Chanel. From walking running the Katy trail, kayaking around white rock lake, eating at millions of great restaurants at every price point, doing charity or community service work, being on intramural Greek teams going to gardens, museums, bars and malls, there's a ton of stuff to do in Dallas. Look at other groups besides kappa. You don't want to feel pressure to do or be something you don't want
