how expensive is the social scene?

I'm thinking about coming here next year and I know a few people in the higher tier fraternities and would most likely be hanging out with that crowd. That being said, how much do people go through each year at bars, etc? I am pretty well off but my parents don't give me the sort of money I have heard about people having access to at SMU. I'm worried that if I do come here I won't be able to keep up with the people I know and will end up not having a good time.
