by: future mustangIf i know girls at smu in a specific sorority will it help me get into that sorority? Or does it not make much of a difference. Also, do you need recommendations to get into one and who do the recommendations have to be from?

It definitely helps you get into a sorority if you already know someone that is in one. Honestly, if you go in to rush without knowing any girls it can be really hard for you because you have no one to stand up for you when they're voting on girls at the end of each day of rush, but that is what first semester is for--to get to know girls. And yes you should have a rec letter for each sorority if possible. They can be from literally anyone that is an alum, doesn't have to be an SMU alum. Don't be nervous about rush you'll be just fine :)
