High School GPA Requirements
by: HKHow important is high school GPA during rush? I know the Panhellenic requirement for recruitment is 2.0 and some sororities have higher requirements like 2.5 or 2.8. But now that rush is in the fall and they're looking at high school GPAs, is the cut-off higher (like 3.0, 3.25, or 3.5). Is GPA a major factor or is it lower on the priority list (vs. personality, clicking with members, etc).

GPA is a first round cut, so that decision is made before you ever meet any members.
The cutoffs for each sorority are slightly different depending on their national's requirements, a chapter's focus on academics or lack thereof, and the relative GPA's of the general pnm pool.
A GPA on the lower end can be overcome if you have some other extraordinary quality to offer, such as SMU cheer or pom team, top pageant winner, members know you personally, etc.
