What is it like to be in a sorority?
by: SmuHi I wanted to know what it’s like to be in a sorority at smu! I’ve always wanted to have that tight knit sisterhood bond and hopefully meet my future bridesmaids through joining a house! I don’t know anyone at smu so I’d love to hear your thoughts!

The absolute best time of your life in every single way, and you won't get this kind of opportunity ever again.
Every sorority at SMU offers sisterhood and a fun social life. Some houses are more academic and achievement focused and can help lift you up that way if that's your style, others are heavy on the party aspect and offer tons of that.
Will you love all of it? No. You will have required commitments and responsibilities to do stuff you may not want to find time for, but everyone has to contribute for the chapter to be good, and your sorority experience is directly tied to the effort you put into being a good sister and your positive attitude. You will also 100% not like everyone in your chapter; a few sisters you will just not be able to stand, most of your sisters you will really like to varying degrees, and then there will be the special handful that you absolutely love and will be there for forever.
Highly recommend.
