Positive thinking for Adpi

by: W

I honestly think Adpi could do really well. There just needs to be more open mindedness to a new sorority coming here. We saw how awful Gphi was treated however that was because they’ve had a stigma for years. With a new sorority they are able to start fresh and make a name for themselves. Girls can be founding members and make this sorority amazing. I really believe they can do well but attitudes need to change. We need to stop being so toxic. Let’s make our Greek system one that is healthy and uplifting please

Until recruitment is moved to the fall (like most schools) freshman girls are going to get bombarded with the message you have to be in one of two or three houses or you will be a social outcast.
This weekend I heard one of our illustrious frat boys tell a freshman girl to either go Pi Phi, Kappa, TriDelt, or drop formal recruitment and join the Society, otherwise she would never mix with his house.
When I called him out on his comment his response was, "Well, that is what every frat thinks."
Will fall recruitment solve every problem with our system? No, but it would at least put PNM's (particularly from out of state) in a better position to evaluate the houses in a more neutral manner.

Damn straight that's what needs to happen. Panhellenic needs to make the change. Panhellenic IS the sororities by the way, not some disembodied other group dictating to them. The chapters all have an equal voice and need to make fall recruitment happen.

I gotta wonder who’s gonna take all the lard-azzes! Somebody gotta step up and give them bids.
With Gamma Phi gone they’re looking for a home. Not to mention an all-you-can-eat BUFFET! 🤣

Yes, folks, this type of attitude is why our Panhellenic community will continue to shrink in the next decade.
