panHELLenic's 👿 next EVIL GDI illusion

by:

The next EVIL panHELLenic 👿 illusion for GDIs.

"COB" 🌽

“ Most of the newly GDIs were encouraged by panHELLenic to proceed with COB 🌽 to find a possible opening. This additional waiting time would push the GDI well PAST the university's 10% to 50% tuition & housing refund deadline.
👿 EVIL.

Only sorority 6 & 7 were involved in COB 🌽 this week. These were the sororities most were Not Interested in. Once realized of the GDI reality, it was Wednesday, far too late to transfer to another university or to ask your parents the short notice to make the dangerous wintery drive to Dallas.

It was pointed out that a vast majority of the top 5 sorority PCs were pre-determined. Only a few true openings were actually available to the non-connected.

Fall Sophomore rush is very similar to COB 🌽. Only sorority 6 & 7 usually take pledges. Those Sophomores that go through recruitment a second time in the Spring are usually cut early and are given bids from sorority 6 & 7 again. Sorority 6 may cut you as a sophomore. “

“ Mid-January 2023 there will be over 425 newly sHoCkEd GDIs. 😵 They paid almost $100 grand for their freshman year. SMU is now the most expensive university in Texas;
30 credit hours earned, 21 hours or less are transferable..."

Being a GDI social outcast in such a Greek Social Life dominated exorbitantly expensive university is hard to validate. Most GDIs transfer and sadly over half of them eventually drop OUT of college.

A successful recruitment? 🤨

The University in 2015 moved the full tuition refund date to the week "BEFORE" the final results were announced. 🤨 Any freshman PNM wanting out of the University after receiving her rush results would be subject to a 10% cut to her tuition and housing refund.

Keep in mind most freshmen do not have cars on campus so they would have to get their parents to drive to Dallas in their large SUV on snow / ice filled roads to pack and move her out.

We just learned the University requires the student to be out of her dorm by Friday, "a short 5 days after receiving her rush results", to prevent losing 50% of her tuition and housing refund. Extending the deadline through the weekend was Not Allowed to give parents time to drive to Dallas. A premeditated captive University strategy to keep these 425+ newly GDIs 😵 at SMU for the Spring semester.

EVIL. 👿

Spring GDI sHoCk 😵 is the most as severe at SMU. A complete " social metamorphosis " from the Fall semester. Severe Greek sorority cliques develop resulting in GDI isolation on most evenings and weekends. The newly shocked GDI is ready to transfer away as soon as she finishes her last Spring semester final. 😞

There is a large number of newly ShOcKeD GDIs in our dormitory this week. They are sHoCkEd, angry, depressed and resentful to the university and especially panHELLenic. 😨

Given it's long history for deceiving these young girls, the university and panHELLenic should immediately open a Newly ShOcKeD GDI Crisis Office to assist these emotionally harmed girls. 🛌

There are 450 to 500 disappointed, depressed newly sHoCkEd GDIs freshmen PNMs 😵 tonight.

SMU must offer better social life options if they want almost $100,000 per year in total costs each year. Relying almost exclusively on Greek Life for a campus social life only serves those entitled, privileged 360 legacy girls that join their sister's, mommies', grand mommies' top 5 sorority each year.

This is the first of many lonely weekends for these emotionally harmed girls. 😢

Great job PanHELLenic! 😈

First off... 1 view with 2 thumbs up? Hmmmmmm.

1.) If joining a sorority is the only reason you came to SMU then you shouldn't even have gone to college. $75K a year is quite the gamble for joining a club you don't even know anybody in.

2.) These remaining houses are willing to give you a shot. If you are turning them down, then you shouldn't be in a sorority at all.

3.) If you are afraid Alpha Chi Omega is going to cut you because you're a sophomore during Fall rush, why not just rush now as a freshman.

4.) How dumb were you in high school that your parents had to bribe the admissions office with an extra $20K just so you could get accepted to a school that takes over half it's applicants.

5.) So you're saying they should take one of the spots in the remaining houses.

6.) Sounds like a successful recruitment by your description. A social outcast willing to drop out of school because they didn't get into the social club they wanted is someone who should be cut immediately.

Congratulations on making it to the 7th year in a row of posting the exact same thing.

Showing your EVIL horns 😈 again.

No need, your predetermined, rigged legacy-filled sorority recruitment ended last week. You upset, socially destroy over 450 freshmen PNMs to newly shocked GDI status. Your comments above cannot offset your frivolous support of sorority 6 & 7 during recruitment.

We all know... you are getting a laugh over seeing these unsuspecting girls severe trauma. 🤬

Sorry, but I don't feel bad at all for girls who drop out of college because they didn't get into the sorority they wanted. This is entirely on them. If they want sisterhood, they should just join one of the remaining houses. If they want status, then they should actually do something with their lives. I don't mean to be crass, but these people to me sound like a bunch of clout chasers and gold diggers who have nothing to offer and want the world handed to them for being the daughter of rich parents.

Joining a sorority for status is one of the laziest and most pretentious things anybody can do. If anyone were to find the true intentions of anyone who does this, they will most likely and should be dropped immediately. A PNM told me they wanted to join my house for business connections. Instant drop. Never invited back. I've had someone get turned down by a "higher ranking" house in the Spring and then tried to rush ours in the fall after rejecting our bid. You can bet they didn't get another one. I've cut so many people because of the dumb reasons they gave for wanting to be a part of our house. I've even burnt the bid card of the kid of one of the execs from our nationals. Legacy Shmegmacy. I do not want entitled brats who are only joining my house for status. We get a full class every year, so I can be as picky as I want.

Nobody is entitled to anything. Our house has been doing fine with this philosophy. We want people who will improve our chapter, not ones who only joined so they could put our letters in their Instagram Bio and live in a nice house. Quit living in 2015. Pretty soon the incoming Freshmen are gonna be younger than your posts.

That's pretty much the fraternity philosophy. They don't hand out letters, you have to earn them.

I really wish that the acronym GDI would die. It divides a campus. A student who is not a member could be a potential member, a friend, or a colleague in a campus organization. Being disrespectful is not a good look. It's not classy.
