The university and our National Offices will mandate on-campus mixers, parties and other activities for the foreseeable future. That being said, Sororities must step-up financially to host and share in the financial burden for these Greek Life activities. 🙂

Each sorority should step-up & host an afternoon social with a selected fraternity. These socials, now mixers can be non-alcohol afternoon functions at each sorority house at their courtyard, yard or reception areas. This will bring sober courting gentlemen to our Chapter Houses once a week. 😍

The fraternities in turn can host a weekend evening party at their Chapter House with a sorority member date they met at that week’s sorority mixer. 😎

Hope these constructive ideas will bring Greek Life back to the Hilltop this Fall. 😊

1. 💑 Consider using/renting the Theta Chapter house for those sororities than can/do not want to host mixers at their Chapter house. The Theta house has a beautiful courtyard with an attached kitchen and dining area.

2. 🏛 All agree the Sigma Chi facade does not match their large house or our beautiful Georgian style campus. A simple 3-month construction project over Christmas or summer break would be the best time to complete this necessary project.

3. 💲 All Greek chapters were shocked to see how one rogue Chapter Treasurer could financially dissolve its future. Greek Chapters should transition away from a single Treasurer to a financial oversight committee for all purchases over $50.
