New Sigma Chi Chapter House Facade 🏛

Here are some questions for you.

For #1, have you asked any sororities if they would like to have events at the Theta house? Have you contacted the people who own the property?

For #2: Have you ever contacted Sigma Chi about this?

For #3: There is something called an exec committee. There are also other committees that What you are proposing gives "corrupt treasurers" the freedom to spend money on whatever they want as long as each purchase is under $50. May I ask, what do you think a treasurer is?

Please answer these questions.

Losing LXA, KA, Sig Ep, Pike, Theta and almost the Fijis, it has been a bad period for Greek Row. Let's turn this downward trend around by focusing on these 3 projects this summer. 😎

1. 💑 Consider using/renting the Theta Chapter house for those sororities than can/do not want to host afternoon mixers at their Chapter house. The Theta house has a beautiful courtyard with an attached kitchen and dining area.

2. 🏛 All agree the Sigma Chi facade does not match their large house or our beautiful Georgian style campus. A simple 3-month construction project over summer break would be the best time to complete this necessary project.

3. 💲 All Greek chapters were shocked to see how one rogue Fiji Chapter Treasurer could financially dissolve its future. Greek Chapters should transition away from a "single Treasurer" to a "Financial Oversight Committee" for all purchases totaling over $50.

Anyone seen construction crews at the Sig Chi house yet?

The existing temporary mismatched façade could be moved to their courtyard, centered against the back courtyard wall with their fraternity emblem facing their parking lot. Then build an expanded courtyard island grill/bar beneath it. This will show their fraternity emblem on both sides of their house. 😀

Given the wealth at 💲MU, a GoFundMe page should finance the upcoming Sigma Chi facade summer construction project. Our student body financially abundant clout can easily raise the necessary fund$ within a week or 2.

Just announce the GoFundMe website and watch 💲MU show it's $tuff. That widely seen university street corner Chapter house really needs renovations. 🤭

The Sig Chi temporary facade does not fit their large building or our beautiful Georgian style campus. It has been 30 years now...

Their house needs a 3 story front facade similar to Dallas Hall 🏛. It should be a Georgian style front centered portico porch to cover the middle five windows, with no less than 6 wide columns across. The front outside windows should be accented with white or black window shutters. The house roof trim should be replaced with 1-2 foot wide white or black roof trim to match the new shutters.

I agree with everyone that it would be clearly the best use of time, finances and effort for the Sigma Chi chapter. The chapter house facade is the face of the fraternity. This suggested facade renovation would illustrate power, dominance and prestige to this chapter.

It will be a disappointment to see the same old unfinished mismatched temporary Sigma Chi chapter house front facade next Fall. 😔

We have confidence in Sigma Chi to make a permanent campus matching Georgian style 3 story portico porch facade with wide columns, wider roof trim and outside accenting window shutters 🏛 a Fall reality. 😀

Spoke to a graduating senior sig chi last Spring. He said when their Chapter house was being built, it was designed to have a wide 3 story portico porch facade covering the center 5 windows. They were going to furnish the 3rd story rooms a year later.

The university wanted the 3rd story rooms furnished first, to collect housing fees. The sig chis furnished the 3rd story and placed a temporary facade on the house to be replaced by a permanent one a year later.

Well, it has been over 30 years now... The same temp house facade remains.... it is embarrassing guys 🙄. If your current Chapter leaders do not want to put in the effort to finally replace your facade...replace them! 😀 Hold recall Chapter officer elections in the early Fall semester.

^ This poster must be from a competing fraternity member who does not want this Chapter to improve their house or a Chapter officer who does not want to comment the time & effort to complete this renovation project this year. Either way an adversary to Greek Row and the university.
