New Sigma Chi Chapter House Facade π

Sigma Chi PC Members! πΊ
Sigma Chi pledge class members, you should dedicate your energy this semester to the Chapter house facade renovation project. π
Renovate the Sigma Chi chapter house π temporary facade over the summer. It is time guys. π
It has been over 30 years without a proper campus matching facade. Tear down that old temporary Chapter house facade & replace it with a permanent campus matching Georgian style 3 story portico porch facade with wide columns, wider roof trim and outside accenting window shutters. π
That widely seen corner Chapter house really needs renovations. It can only help your chapter. Let's make it this year's Sigma Chi Spring Pledge Class Project! π
Call, e-mail, text, IM or snap your officer chairs with your excitement over this necessary project. π

Just being positive with timely constructive projects that Greek Row should accomplish this and next year. π
1. π Consider using/renting the Theta Chapter house for those sororities that can/do not want to host afternoon mixers at their Chapter house. The Theta house has a beautiful courtyard with an attached kitchen and dining area.
2. π All agree the Sigma Chi temporary facade does not match their large house or our beautiful Georgian style campus. A simple 3-month construction project over summer break would be the best time to complete this necessary project.
3. π² All Greek chapters were shocked to see how one rogue Fiji Chapter Treasurer could financially dissolve its future. Greek Chapters should transition away from a "single Treasurer" to a "Financial Oversight Committee" for all purchases over $50.

For Sigma Chi to be considered a top Chapter, their house needs a 3 story front facade similar to Dallas Hall π. It should be a Georgian style front centered portico porch to cover the middle five windows, with no less than 6 wide columns across. The front outside windows should be accented with white or black window shutters. The house roof trim should be replaced with 1-2 foot wide white or black roof trim to match the new shutters.
The existing temporary facade could be moved to their courtyard, centered against the back courtyard wall with their fraternity emblem facing their parking lot. Then build an island grill/bar courtyard beneath it. This will show their fraternity emblem on both sides of their house. π
I agree with everyone that it would be clearly the best use of time, finances and effort for the Sigma Chi chapter. The chapter house facade is the face of the fraternity. This suggested facade renovation would illustrate power, dominance and prestige to this chapter. π
It would enhance the university campus, Greek Row and this chapter. Hope to see it completed by the Fall. π

Here are some questions for you.
For #1, have you asked any sororities if they would like to have events at the Theta house? Have you contacted the people who own the property?
For #2: Have you ever contacted Sigma Chi about this?
For #3: There is something called an exec committee. There are also other committees that What you are proposing gives "corrupt treasurers" the freedom to spend money on whatever they want as long as each purchase is under $50. May I ask, what do you think a treasurer is?
