Theta's New Members

Ok so I'm new to SMU rush/the ways of rush in general, but Theta's rush this year confused me. It seems like an entire friend group that came from Newport (minus TN) got bids, as well as two little sisters of current members and all of their friends. And all of those girls pregamed before bid with Theta decorations. Is this typical? Was it the same for other sororities? Entire friend groups from fall semester or even high school all getting into one sorority just surprised me.

i mean that’s something that has been a pretty common theme for kat. the same thing basically happened last year. the girls who got a bid were a. a group of friends that had been hanging out with kat girls during the fall semester and/or b. girls from same same hometown. a group of girls (like 10+) last year pregamed together and all got a bid from kat. so yeah, not surprised almost the same thing happened this year.

but i wouldn’t necessarily say it’s typical for other sororities.
