COB probability
by: QuestionCan someone tell me (honestly) what the true possibility of getting a bid through COB is? I was looking at the Panhellenic website and saw that it said only 4 houses a semester can COB. What houses usually have COBed in the past and do TPK ever actually have COB spots?

EXCELLENT ACCURATE 2018 POST
- worth repeating....
SMU Spring Recruitment is committed to honor legacies.
100% of SMU panHELLenic's executive board are legacies.
Sorority 1-3 PCs are packed with legacies. Over 90%.
Sorority 4-6 PCs are loaded with legacies. Over 85%.
The remaining 5-15% sorority 1-6 PC members are from Big Chapter contributors, Famous Families and Star Athletes. The remaining 3-5% are student leaders or proven academic scholars.
The Average Non-Legacy PNM will be corralled into sororities 7-8. Legacy lead panHELLenic and the university will use numerous pressure tactics. The WORST is the university tuition and housing full refund deadline BEFORE recruitment results are announced. Then the university 50% refund deadline kicks-in just days after the results are announced. Leaving the Newly Shocked GDI no time to pack and enroll in another university for the Spring semester. "Trapped" for an expensive $50 grand Spring semester. Just as Legacy lead panHELLenic and the university designed it.
Then...the "COB illusion". Newly shocked GDIs are encouraged to participate in COB, where Sororities 7 & 8 are the ONLY remaining options available.
Only 360 PNMs accepting bids from sororities 1-6 will experience the legendary SMU Greek life experience. An additional 60 will accept bids from 7 & 8, leaving on average 300 newly shocked GDIs each Spring semester.
RELEASE the "Spring 2018 Legacy Disclosure Report" and for the past 3 years. Everyone is aware of Legacy lead panHELLenic's coverup attempts. You are NOT going to defraud the 2019 Spring PNMs with your PREDETERMINED LEGACY PC RECRUITMENT.
If this report is available in the Legacy lead panHELLenic Office, DISCLOSE the Spring 2018 results and for the past 3 years. SPILL the results on a GR Post. Most PNMs are too intimidated by Legacy lead panHELLenic to request this report. They are concerned they would be labeled as a trouble maker by Legacy lead panHELLenic.
#2by: Long lines expected today
As in years, decades past, long lines are expected today at the univeristy bursar and housing departments. Newly sHoCkEd GDIs ๐ต will line up to try to escape the Spring semester university and panHELLenic trap.
The newly sHoCkEd GDI ๐ณ will quickly learn the 90% Spring semester tuition and housing refund rules are in effect and will quickly drop to 50% by Friday. All well planned out each year to capture newly sHoCkEd GDIs. EVIL? ๐ฟ Indeed. ๐ฏ

Idk if this is a serious question or not but no KPT really donโt give out COBs. Historically gamma phi and axo give out COBs but I think DG and chi o have also in the past. Not really 100% sure about tri delt.
Depends on the circumstances like knowing other girls in the house well already and having good connections. Also depends how many girls who were offered a bid and ran home on bid day actually stick with it vs โgiving it a chanceโ and then dropping over the next few days or weeks
