there is more to life

by: Plove

One thing that I love about Greek life is the fact that in 5 years when we have all graduated and we all have jobs in the real world, meeting someone who is "Greek" rather than in your specific sorority will be a great connection. Greeklife as a whole is a family. I don't object that there are pros and cons to every house, and I am the first one to admit that it's hard to not get caught up in it. However, I encourage whoever is reading this to take the hate that so many people write with a grain on salt, because honestly all the houses are wonderful and being an upperclassman I can tell you that I have so much respect for all 7 other houses on campus. In the long run, there is so much more to life than the stereotype that your sorority held while you were in college. 5 years from now I hope that everyone who is apart of Greeklife will embrace that common bond and love each other. There are great people in every single house on this campus and when you meet a Panhellenic woman I hope you respect her knowing that you share a common bond of being apart of something greater than yourself.
