Rush Tips 1st Semester?

I’m a freshman at smu and I’m wondering if there is anything you should do or not before rush in January. I’m not from the South and I heard rush is very different. Are there places to shouldn’t go to (like to party) and things you shouldn’t do if you want to be in a sorority?

Just make connections with girls in the houses and you will be fine. They party with you so no there’s not really anywhere u shouldn’t go.

Bc rush is in the spring it is really important to make connections during the first semester. Follow all the sororities on insta, talk to older girls in class. And go to philanthropy events!!!
