Sororities Step-Up !

The university and our National Offices will mandate on-campus mixers, parties and other activities for the foreseeable future. That being said, Sororities must step up financially to host and share in the financial burden for these Greek Life activities.
Each sorority should step-up & host an afternoon social with a selected fraternity. These socials, now mixers can be non-alcohol afternoon functions at each sorority house at their courtyard, yard or reception areas. This will bring sober courting gentlemen to our Chapter Houses once a week.
The fraternities in turn can host a weekend evening party at their Chapter House with a sorority member date they met at that week’s sorority mixer.
Hope these constructive ideas will bring Greek Life back to the Hilltop next Fall.

Fraternities
SAE
Please maintain your beautiful Chapter House, but consider some improvements. Some of you are hot, and the others could benefit from an in-house gym with a trainer. Also try to hire a dietician.
Sigma Chi
As a top tier fraternity, your Chapter House needs to reflect this campus dominance. You have the best campus location with the largest footprint. However, the temporary house façade remains an eye sore. Being on one the campus’s busiest street corners, it would only benefit your Chapter to build a dominant front house facade. Seriously consider adding a 3 story front porch portico with large columns, wider roof trim and outside accent window shutters. Use the SAE house as a model. Renovate your back patio as well. All of these House improvements can be completed this summer and would make a major statement in the Fall.
Fiji
Focus on rebuilding your Chapter finances. Your social status will continue to drop until the Chapter can fulfill social financial commitments with other major sororities. Seriously consider sending your newly elected Chapter Officers to your National Headquarters for Chapter financial training. Establish a Chapter Financial Oversight Committee to monitor your Chapter Officers.
Phi Delt
Your also have a beautiful Chapter House on a major campus street corner. However, your overall Chapter identity remains unclear. Some of you are straight forward, while the others mix with Sig Ep and their questionable charades. Now more than ever is the time to be open about your member preferences. Be open and the srats will respect that.
BETA
Another beautiful Chapter House. It is time to make it your own. The srats really recognize the quality mid-western guys your Chapter adds every year. Especially when you avoid taking ethically challenged Chicago area guys. Lets have Harvest Fest Theme Parties next year. It will be a blast.
Sig Ep
The srats are patiently hoping your troubles will be behind you soon. Seriously consider forming an Ethics Oversight Committee to monitor your Chapter’s Officers, members and pledges activities next year. Set up a Standards Council to discipline those that do not abide by these standards. We hope you will return next year with a new purpose of brotherhood.
Kappa Sig
Stay just as you are and have been for decades. Small but fun. You members all seem to be very happy and you guys have no issues with pairing up with those select girls who enjoy your company.

Our Chapter needed new living room furniture.
Next Spring's sorority house hosted Chapter mixers made us vote for this summer renovation.

As the Sorority Houses are renovating for the upcoming Fall mixers, we hope to see construction crews begin the Sigma Chi Georgian style facade soon.
We are all excited about these Summer Chapter House renovations.

The new concept of having Fall sorority house hosted weekly afternoon mixers was introduced to Greek Chapters late last semester. Most liked this concept at Chapter meetings.
We expect a few will begin these mixers initially in the Fall, then the remaining pending upon it's success - will follow in the Spring semester. We hope our selected fraternity invitees will be sober and act like courting gentlemen. The ultimate success of this exciting concept will rely upon the behavior of these invited guests.
Stay calm. It appears you may need therapy before you return to the Hilltop in the Fall.

If you are a sorority officer, contact your top 3 associated fraternity social chairs & schedule their attendance at your upcoming sorority house hosted Fall mixers. We expect the top fraternity's weekly afternoon mixer schedules are filling quickly. Don't wait.

Since our university is known for great wealth, lets contribute to these constructive ideas to make them a reality.
We can establish a " Go Fund Me " account to fund and expedite the following:
"Fund" the Sigma Chis to tear down that old temporary Chapter house facade & replace it with a permanent campus matching Georgian style 3 story portico porch facade with wide columns, wider roof trim and outside accenting window shutters. That widely seen corner Chapter house really needs renovations.
"Fund" the Fijis back to financial solvency. They have been on verge of financial insolvency for the past year. Encourage them to get financial training for their incoming Chapter officers. Also stablish a Chapter financial oversight committee to oversee all upcoming financial decisions.
Then enjoy the Fall semester with weekly afternoon socials hosted at the newly renovated sorority chapter houses. Great ideas for the upcoming Fall semester on the Hilltop.

After reading your earlier Greek Life suggestions, our Chapter favorably voted on hosting afternoon mixers. We are renovating our house and yard this summer to accommodate these upcoming exciting events.
So far 3 fraternities have agreed to attend these Thursday afternoon mixers. Our Chapter is booked each Thursday afternoon from September through October.
Please continue suggesting making these constructive ideas that will bring Greek Life back to the Hilltop next Fall.
