adpi & zeta

Why did Alpha Delta Pi and Zeta Tau Alpha leave SMU? Any word on if they could come back or other sororities possibly taking their houses?

ZTA did not get ‘kicked off ‘ campus. It was quota as well as unfair Panhellenic practices.

If that is true, then sites like this that encourage people to make nasty comments about each other and create divisiveness rather than support for each other are largely to blame. Freshman happen upon this site, possibly accidentally, and don't know their as# from a whole in the griound and because they don't have the confidence to think for themselves and want to fit in they fall for the crap they read on this site

depends on what your national organization's policies are. by the nature of the system, chapters won't always make quota. however, if a national organization believes that a chapter is no longer upholding their values and traditions or financially can no longer sustain itself, then they may choose to close a chapter in favor of starting over later when conditions might be better. gamma phi has shown an improvement in their pledge class size, retention, and overall sisterhood so I guess it isn't a problem with their nationals.

GPhi also has a strong alumni group for SMU. That is probably one of the reasons their nationals has stuck behind them. I agree with the previous poster - they are getting better pledge classes.

I'm sure zta and adpi will both be back eventually since they still own their houses

That is a lie. Talked to a house mom who was here when they left campus - they simply could not make quota.

OMG I can't believe someone would just throw up that old gossip about ZTA and then toss GPB into it two based on the fact they didn't make quota. They would have been kicked off campus if it had been true. THINK, people!

This wasn’t investigated. Please don’t post something when you have no proof.

Wasn't Phi Mu at SMU in the early '80's as well? What happened to them?

Back in the 80's, you would have to pay a high school recruit to date/sleep with a After Dinner Pig or a Zoo Animal Zeta. They looked like farm animals...
