Theta bid -> based a lot more on looks and a little bit on money. Not necessarily concerned with feeder areas. You don’t have to be concerned with in state/feeder areas at all here! Generally, though, they get a lot of midwestern/northeastern/florida girls. A lot of california too. If you fit in, you fit in. They all have that certain look and if you don’t, chances are you won’t fit in and get a bid. Easiest bid if you’re hot and have made connections with sisters or other hot freshmen during fall semester. A lot of thetas happen to be into fashion! Most of the SMU look staff is made up of thetas! Probably also an easy bid if you’re semi pretty and into fashion. Try out for SMU look and SMU style!!! If you aren’t into these things and having a pretty insta grid, you probably won’t feel at home at theta. Majority of the girls are much nicer than kappa.

Kappa bid -> WEALTHY. Be rich!! These girls know how to place you from a social and status standpoint from the moment they see you! Probably stand out with an Hermès Clic H bracelet or something Cartier/Yurman/Van Cleef during rush, if you don’t know them. Have a sitting sis / high school friend and get in!! Chances are that if your sister or friend got in, they were rich, so you’re probably rich too, so that’s how they keep it in the circle. And don’t forget camp! Most of these girls have known each other for ages! Don’t be surprised if most of them check all three boxes (friend / sister / camp). Generally very well connected, lots of business majors, lots of debutantes. Extremely easy bid, like laughably easy, if you’re rich and from the northeast / midwest / cali, but if you check these boxes, you’ll probably go... THETA. Hard bid for girls from the south, texas especially, most don’t have all the connections. HPHS, FWTX, HTX, OKC, Waldy, Little Rock, Mtn Brook, Fairhope, Nashville. Pi Phi bid -> of the three, this is the sorority that i know the least of, generally very sweet girls!! Connections help, but not as big a deal as kappa. For some reason they have a huge amount of girls from the LA area (not the OC, like kappa and theta!), which is very weird, considering that Kappa and Theta outrank Pi Phi at both UCLA and USC! Same goes for San Francisco, where Kappa and Theta outrank Pi Phi, again, at Stanford! It’s probably because they’re the most genuine out of the three, here. And lots of Arizona girls too (Scottsdale). Probably most desired if you’re from SATX, ATX or FWTX. Lots of ATL girls too (from Lovett)! Generally, Pi Phi and Theta are regarded as THE top houses. Kappa trails behind because they’re a bit insular, even in frat relations (only SAE). This is probably, overall, the hardest one to get a bid to. Most people will say theta or kappa are, but you have to be well rounded for pi phi. Looks or money aren’t enough.
