instagram and rush process

by: ?

During the rush process, I know that the sororities look at pnm's instagrams, which I think is fine, but I was wondering: 1) should we make our instagrams public during and before rush week, even if they're usually private? 2) will a pnm be affected by how many followers they have? For example, I have less than 1,000 followers, and was wondering if that hurts my chances of getting a bid, particularly from PKT?

Yes honey we do look at your social media. Minimum requirement is that your following has to be less than half of your followers. Good luck :)

Thanks for the reply. Idk if I'm even going to SMU, I'm just trying to get a feel for it. But um seriously? Is following less than half of the number of followers you have an actual "requirement?" Cause on the sorority instagrams there are tons of girls not like that...

Yes, social media is very important but so is who you meet and become friends with. If you meet the right girls, your instagram will probably reflect that. If you don't meet the right girls, your instagram will probably reflect that. The "right girls" are usually legacies or private school girls who are a shoo-in to one of the top 3.

That is the same troll. No, your freshman friends can't get you a bid and there isn't a crystal ball to know who's getting a bid where before recruitment.
