a call for the retirement of ben hicks’ jersey

Hey guys, I think we should consider retiring Ben Hicks jersey. For those who are younger, Ben Hicks was our starting quarterback and team captain. I was lucky to play with him for a year, and he was by far the best leader/teammate in our locker room. At the end of his illustrious career, Hicks has the SMU record for career passing yards and passing td’s (71). As we continue to grow into a powerhouse, it’s important to honor those who brought us to this point. Because of his character, accolades, and leadership, I am calling on SMU to retire the #8 and forever display our gratitude for this warrior

The best thing Pick Six Hicks did was leave SMU so we could upgrade to Shane.
