is fall fraternity rush a good option
by: DudeIf I do not receive a fraternity bid where I want, I’m wondering if rushing in the fall is actually a viable option or if I would just be looked at as someone who wasn’t invited this semester and disregarded.

If you don't get a bid in Spring, Fall is a good option. Lots of people do it who are transfer students and people who were below a 2.5 in Spring. If you are friends with a lot of people who are rushing the same fraternity, they will be the ones in charge of rush in the fall so your chances are much higher if you were able to keep those relationships.

If your friend group is big enough and depending on the fraternity, get them to find out if you didn't get a bid because of a fluke (did they forget you? Happens), they didn't know you, or did you piss someone off who said they didn't want to bid you. If it was a fluke or they didn't know you, see if your friends can get you a snap bid. Nearly every fraternity does it. If someone actively didn't want you as a part of it though, you'll have to wait until fall or never.

Some sororities do informal rush in the fall and some don’t, it changes every year.Ask a friend in them and see if you’ll need to wait until spring or not
