What is a rush date? I’ve heard the term but can’t find it online.

you and 1-3 girls from a given sorority go to lunch or coffee, it helps everyone get to know each other. usually with girls from your high school, family friends, people from class, etc

Do PNMs ask to go on rush dates or do the current actives have to ask them?

Actives ask you, and if by January you haven’t gone on a rush date with the house you most likely aren’t getting a bid.
