sorority questions
by: anonI'm from a small town in texas and its my dream to go to SMU and rush in a sorority. I wanted to know if I would still get into a sorority if i don't know anyone attending SMU. I heard if you know people in a certain sorority or are a legacy it helps your chances of getting selected into the sorority are higher. Just curious if i have an equal chance of getting into one.

second week of classes? rush wraps up way before that.. it is before classes start, drop deadline is 3 weeks after most girls drop. Some girls leave for personal reasons or drop out in the first semester for unrelated reasons. probably 7-10 of those 24 left for rush reasons.
I am very sad for those few girls that it didn't work out and they left, but nowhere can you find 200+ girls leaving. there is no mass departure over the summer either

The puzzling thing to me is this- the cost of sorority dues is over $15k over 4 years. 200 women are showing up to pledge a sorority that are disappointed, that is $3 million Panhellenic dollars tossed. I think for $3 million I could figure out a way to improve the system.

There are always a couple of people transfersing in and out of every college.
The fact is the woman posting the same info over and over is a mom who’s daughter did not get the sorority she wanted. All of her goobldy gook is just sour grapes.
Happy to hear and see that no one takes her seriously. While smu is a serious rush process, it is no different then any other southern school
Good luck pms!
