why we should stop ranking

SMU Greek life is in a bad situation right now. Three fraternities have been kicked off since 2016 and others are either suspended or recently got off suspension. This is also the case at schools all over the nation and Greek Life as a whole is in danger.

We need to come together as a Greek community and support each other. These rankings and negative posts/comments about each other only creates tension and disdain between fraternities and sororities which is detrimental to Greek life as a whole.

If you are truly proud of your organization, then you wouldn’t feel the need to put down others. Rivalries and competition may have been tradition in the past, but times have changed. If we want Greek life to continue in the future, for us and for the next generations, we need to unify, look out for each other and have each other’s backs, not put each other down.
