by: Incoming freshmanDo guys on financial aid ever rush/get bids or is it just for the super rich? Especially top tier houses like Fiji and sig chi?

Financial aid will not directly impact your ability to rush, but your ability to shell out money will. Fraternities may notice if you buy drinks or bottle or not at clubs or events, or your tastes, which is correlated with your wealth. Also, many of the fraternities have expensive dues, so this may impact your ability to pay.
This is with exception to SAE, who is known to zillow your home address and see how expensive your house is.

Find out what the dues are. Once you do, your decision will likely be an easy one. One thing that all social fraternities have in common is that each active member is expected to be able to meet his financial obligations. If you don't think you can or if you anticipate that you may have trouble doing this, you may be setting yourself up for disappointment and embarrassment.
