rec letter importance
by: pnm2017If you were more focused on grades first semester and didn't really get out a lot to meet a lot of girls but got a lot of rec letters for a house does that helo out in any way? I see the post below talking about how houses already have who they want based on who they hung out with in the first semester and it makes me a little nervous

this is not just to you, but lots of worried girls this year
your friends, hallmates, this website, make it seem like being greek is a must at SMU. there are so many other things to do and it’s not over for you if you end up without a house. you can still go to parties and formals and be involved in other things.

As someone who didn’t rush until sophomore year second semester is super lonely because non sorority girls can’t go to mixers. Smu would be a much better campus and quite frankly have a less crazy Greek system if all parties were open. Then people wouldn’t feel so competitive all the time.
