gpa for rush
by: stressedI'm rushing this spring (18), and i have a low gpa, like a 3.0-3.14. do i still have a chance of getting a bid? I'm rly involved on campus and in hs, and i know a lot of the girls in the houses i want to go.

it factors in, some houses more than other (chi o/dg are very grades oriented, kappa/pi phi less important) if you are equal on the list with someone who has a 3.8 then you lose out.
also, you might be heavily cut in the first round as a lot of day 1 cuts are gpa minimums above that. you definitely still have a chance though, lots of girls have low GPAs first semester

As long as you're open to every chapter, you'll probably end up with a bid. But I would be prepared big cuts after Round 1 because your GPA is below every single chapter's average GPA.
You are not in a situation where you can walk into rush week saying you'll only accept a bid from a few choice chapters.
