They were on probation. Now the Sig Ep National Chapter and SMU has decided to suspend/close the smu chapter at the end of this semester. This will give members housing in the chapter house until May.

If the Sig Ep National Chapter will allow it, they could be initiated. Otherwise, it is the pledges personal choice. Fall Rush would be an option for them.

How can they be initiated if they won't actually have a house? Are they getting kicked off or not?

Read the earlier posts. The National Chapter will decide if the SMU chapter can initiate their remaining pledges. However, the National Chapter may have already revoked their membership. Then, it is just student housing till May. Then, SMU takes over the property.
