fall rush
by: freshmanSpring rush didn't really work out the way I planned, so I was wondering if rushing a fraternity in the fall semester is okay? Which houses participate in fall rush and how does it work?

Contact the Rush Chairman of the fraternities you were most interested in. Let them know of your interest and availability. They might have space in the right circumstances. You will need to get their current pledge class to support your addition.
If there is no interest. The Spring semester will be disappointing socially. There will be many Greek events, mixers and parties that will exclude you. Over half of your dorm, friends will go Greek this semester. Get a non-Greek girlfriend and study for all your worth. Most freshmen will experience their worst semester academically. You can excel academically and get ahead with the additional time this semester.
See which fraternity most of friends pledged. Then go through Fall Rush and try to get a bid from that fraternity. Things will work out from there for you at SMU.
